Dear Food Friends,
Spring is just around the corner, bringing with it a bounty of fresh produce and an array of exciting pop-ups and supper clubs to enjoy. In addition to these festive events, I am thrilled to announce that I will be opening a small spice shop every Saturday starting in April, which I will elaborate on in this newsletter.
SRI LANKA- November 2026

I am thrilled to share that the upcoming tour to Sri Lanka is scheduled for the second week of November. I am currently awaiting confirmation from the resorts to finalise the details.
I anticipate having a comprehensive itinerary, including pricing, by the end of this month.
Please feel free to email me if you would like to review it once it's prepared.
KITCHEN TABLE DATES and BOOKING TABLES IN BAR
I am pleased to announce additional dates for our Kitchen Table Tasting Menu this year, as it has been exceptionally popular and well-received. Below are the available dates for April.
Due to rising costs and ingredient prices, the tasting menu will increase from £45 to £47.50 starting in April. Please note that bookings for the tasting menu can only be made via email. hello@chefkanthi.com
Additionally, the bar will be open from Thursday to Saturday throughout March, with an à la carte menu available. Reservations for bar tables can be made online via the link on our Google page.

POP UPS AND SUPPER CLUBS
We have a few pop-ups across and beyond Brighton lined up in the coming months.
We will start with ‘Stories from Mighty Malabar Coast’ night at Plateau on the 15th of April. This is priced at £40 per person plus drinks, and Team at Plateau is putting together some exciting wines to go with food. To book…
The next one will be at Trenchmore Farm in Horsham, where we take over their lovely farm dining space and cook up a feast using their produce
To book
We have another exciting event, ‘Coast to Coast,’ in mid-May, where we will celebrate the South Indian and Sri Lankan coastlines at the ‘Reading Room.’ We are currently finalising the details, including the date and time, and will post updates on our social media soon. In the meantime, please keep an eye on their events page for announcements.

COOKING LESSONS
In addition to my regular cooking lessons at The Community Kitchen, I am now offering private cooking lessons for small groups of up to four people at my kitchen. These sessions are perfect for celebrations or gatherings with friends and family. The price starts at £75 per person. SPICE SHOP
Exciting News! You can now purchase high-quality spices I source directly from India, as well as a variety of organic coconut products from Sri Lanka, at The Spice Circuit Kitchen.
The best part? You can buy spices in quantities as small as 5 grams, making it easy to replenish your supply. We will have recipe cards with quantities for different spice mixes to choose from. If you're uncertain about which spices to choose, we can create custom blends for you, such as Garam Masala, Sri Lankan roasted and unroasted curry powders, and Jaffna spice mix.
Apart from Spices, I am sourcing some organic coconut products, such as oil, coconut milk powder, coconut vinegar, etc., from Sri Lanka for you to buy.
The Spice Circuit Kitchen Spice Shop will be open every Saturday between 4 and 6 PM. We invite you to stop by and replenish your spice collection.

See you in the kitchen!
All the best
Kanthi Thamma
