Chef-Led Tours Sri Lanka

Join me on a Chef-Led Food Tour to Sri Lanka! Sri Lanka, an island nation in South Asia, is famous for its rich history, diverse culture, and stunning natural landscapes. Situated in the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka is renowned for its ancient cities, lively festivals, flavourful cuisine, and beautiful beaches. What sets it apart is the unique blend of traditional and modern influences, providing visitors with a one-of-a-kind and unforgettable experience. 

Sri Lankan cuisine offers a diverse range of flavours and aromas that showcase the island’s rich cultural heritage and varied influences. The cuisine is known for it's generous use of spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves, which contribute to a distinctive depth of flavour in the dishes. Coconut plays a significant role in many Sri Lankan dishes, adding a creamy richness to curries and stews. Rice and curry form staple components of the Sri Lankan diet, with each region offering its own variations. Seafood also holds a prominent place, particularly in coastal areas, with an endless variety available. 

This will be my third food and culture tour of Sri Lanka, and I am really excited to share this custom-made 14-day Itinerary that includes a bit of everything and a lot of food that this beautiful Island has to offer. I like to keep the group small so everyone gets enough space and attention during the culinary sessions. I keep it to 8 per group, but in some cases, I extend it to 10 max.

- Stay in 4 or 5-star independent resorts that emphasise eco-tourism, sustainability and local community support.

- Transport in a comfortable minibus with a dedicated driver and a Tour guide.

- All the breakfasts, most of the dinners (except the first 2 nights) and a few lunches

- Culinary sessions with local chefs and myself

- City Tours and site-seeing

- Train Journey

- Village visits and lunch with locals, Colombo vintage jeep tour

- Visit to spice gardens, tea plantations and cinnamon processing unit

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED

- Flights

- Personal Travel Insurance

- Optional visits include a whale-watching trip, jungle safari, historic temples and caves, Sigiriya trek and elephant sanctuary. However, entry tickets are available at very reasonable prices

- Airport drop-offs and pick-ups are only done at a certain time based on the number of people flying back at similar times; however, we can arrange for drop-off or pick-up if someone chooses to come early or later on the day and also take a later flight at cost.
