I hope you are enjoying the sunshine.

I can hardly believe we are already halfway through 2026; time truly flies when you're busy. This year began with a tour of Sri Lanka, and I also had the pleasure of attending a short 4-day food retreat in Amalfi for the first time.

In the past six months, I've hosted pop-ups at Trenchmore Farm, Reading Room, Curio, and Bison Beer (this month), organised six Sunday lunch supper clubs, conducted cooking lessons at the Community Kitchen, launched an exciting new concept, catered two weddings, and completed several private chef engagements. It’s astonishing how quickly these six months have passed.

POP UPS AND SUPPER CLUBS

TIGER EATS CHICKEN

I am excited to announce the launch of my latest concept, ‘Tiger Eats Chicken,’ featuring Indian-spiced fried chicken paired with sauces inspired by Southeast Asia. After a successful test launch on June 30th, which received fantastic feedback, I have decided to turn this concept into a pop-up event this summer. The first location to host it will be Bison Beer on Church Road.

Join us on July 23rd, 24th, 25th, and July 30th, 31st, and August 1st. There’s no need for reservations—just walk in and enjoy some delicious hot fried chicken alongside cold beer.

CURIO

I am excited to announce a one-time pop-up event at Curio Cafe and Bar on Sunday, the 26th, starting at 1 PM. The menu will feature a selection of small plates and street food inspired by the flavours of India and Sri Lanka. SUNDAY SUPPERCLUB

Next Sunday Supperclub takes place on the 9th of August, and our theme will be the last state of India on the East Coast, Tamil Nadu. The cost is £37.50 per person. To book, please email hello@chefkanthi.com.

COOKING LESSONS

In addition to my regular cooking lessons at The Community Kitchen, I am now offering private cooking lessons for small groups of up to four people at my kitchen. These sessions are perfect for celebrations or gatherings with friends and family, or for those who would like to learn the techniques.

PRIVATE HIRE

Planning to celebrate something special with your near and dear ones that involves some delicious food and exciting cocktails? We can accommodate private parties of 25-30 people as a private hire and customise the food and drinks menu to suit your needs. Get in touch with us via email to inquire.

SRI LANKA 2027

I am delighted to announce that the dates for the next Sri Lankan Tour have now been finalised. The next tour starts on the 27th of January and finishes on the 9th of Feb. I am currently fine-tuning the final details, and the itinerary will be posted on the website next month.

AMALFI FOOD RETEAT

The second round of a 4-day food retreat at Villa Rina in Amalfi is happening in the last week of September. Cooking lessons, tasting local delicacies, and hopping between restaurants along the coastline and the most stunning views of the coast from your balcony at Villa Rina to top it off.
